Amazing Japanese store! Lots of fresh produce, outstanding selection of fresh and frozen seafood, delicious desserts and lots of options for prepared Japanese meals - sushi, sashimi, chicken katsu, mochi etc. The store consists of two standalone buildings - one is selling mostly fresh produce, fish and prepared meals; the other one mostly shelf stable products - noodles, sauces, soft drinks. Stuff is super friendly and helpful. Parking, however, can be tough to find during peak hours.

Great time shopping at Tokyo Central Specialty Market near Convoy Street! There are two buildings, one focused more on perishables and the other more shelf stable. Lots of great product choices from sushi, meat, snacks, produce, and more. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommend!

Love these three stores. I use to live in Japan so it is great to find products that I enjoy that I can't find anywhere else. The butcher shop has great quality meats. Prices are very reasonable. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The ready to go food is awesome. Excellent selection of frozen food. Fresh produce is usually great. Can't say enough how happy I am to have Tokyo Central nearby. Be prepared though. One store is toys, electronics, housewares, cosmetics, etc. One is nonparishables. One is grocery.

This is a fun place to explore even if you're only planning to buy a few things. The store is clean, well organized, and filled with a wide variety of Japanese groceries, snacks, drinks, and fresh prepared foods. I especially enjoyed browsing the seasonal products and unique items that are difficult to find elsewhere. The staff was polite, and checkout was quick.

What an amazing experience!! It reminded me of being in Japan all over again, what wonderful days those were. Everything was more simple, everyone was more courteous, polite and well-mannered. The Japanese people remain so kind and courteous. Shopping at Tokyo Central just reminded how thoughtful and courteous the Japanese culture is. I saw the fresh produce along with cartoonish paper mache' kitties all over the store!! OMG, I Felt like I was home!!! If you want take yourself back to Japan, go to Tokyo Central!! You will be so happy you did!

So there are 3 Separate Tokyo Central Buildings. 1 for toys/ skin care etc. 2nd one is for Rice, cookies, snacks, Ramen and drinks. The 3rd is for all the viral items your looking for, Fruit Sandos, sushi, breads, fruits. So basically the Grocery store trio all together. The young staff are friendly, get their early, obviously since the best things sell out quickly. Or go at the end of the night to get a Quick 20% off the leftovers that haven't sold the entire day. You're bound to find something. Even my littlest found all her Favorites! Check them out and dont forget to grab a rewards stamp card! 👍🤟♥️🤙🏼

A great source for all things Japanese! 3 buildings to find what your looking for. Photos of “middle building” thats has mostly packaged goods like snacks, seaweed, sauces, seasonings and drinks. Also has a section of sake. The other building next to Balboa Ave has produce, seafood, frozen and chilled foods. The 3rd one has toys, collectibles and household items. Fun spot! Parking can be challenging.

There are 3 of these stores in the same shopping center. This is 8151 and has shopping carts outside. Lots of fresh sashimi, packaged fish and fresh produce here but I was here to eat Poke. One table to eat your poke outside if you can’t wait to eat! The Poke bar is in the far back right. You have a menu to choose all your items fresh hand the put it together for you and call your name. I had the octopus, tuna and salmon and all were fresh. Get fresh avocado toppings or spicy tuna it’s all great and price less than many poke restaurants. I’ll be back!
